SHOGO KUBO_RIP
Shogo Kubo — the skateboarding legend whose legendary crew was immortalized in the movie “Dogtown and Z-Boys” — died while paddle boarding by himself in Hawaii on Tuesday … TMZ Sports has learned.
Honolulu PD tells TMZ Sports … witnesses noticed the 54-year-old was having problems in the water and several people swam out to bring him into shore. Emergency personnel tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead on the beach.
An autopsy will be performed to determine a cause of death, but for now police are saying there is nothing suspicious about it.
Jim Muir, founder of Dogtown Skateboard and a long time friend of Kubo’s, tells TMZ Sports, “He was a friend and a brother and he passed away doing what he loved.”

SOSH FREESTYLE CUP 2014_LA FINAL
La finale de la Coupe du Monde de skateboard ISU a eu lieu cet après-midi dans le cadre de la Sosh Freestyle Cup. Le brésilien Pedro Barros sort vainqueur de cette unique étape européenne. La Sosh Freestyle Cup 2014 s’est terminée ce dimanche à Marseille, sous un soleil de plomb. Au total, ce sont 100 000 personnes qui ont pu profiter des animations et du village installé sur la plage Borély pour l’occasion.
Les juges souhaitent également féliciter Greyson, Björn et Pedro qui ont plaqué 3 superbes tricks : Greyson Fletcher : frontside ollie one foot en transfert du wall àla pool par l’extension margelle Björn Lillesöe : ollie frontside nosegrab disaster du wall à l’extension margelle Pedro Barros : 3-6 back indy en transfert du hip à la medium Chez les femmes, c’est la française Laurine Lemieux, qui s’est imposée devant Jordan Serentine (Haw). La marseillaise Chloé Bernard et Roxi Bokolas (Haw) ex aequo terminent à la 3ème place.
